The Art Nouveau movement of the late 1800s brought rhythmic, sensuous content into the spotlight, as seen here in this Loie Fuller piece. Fuller, a modern dance pioneer, became the embodiment of the movement at the time. The striking colors of the artwork are set off by the rich lavender backdrop.
